An original hand-drawn illustration of Castleton, built through a structured grid of colour and detailed linework.

This piece is the first in a new series exploring the contrast between clean, geometric backgrounds and loose, expressive drawing. Each block of colour creates a rigid framework, while the illustration sits over the top with a more natural, hand-rendered feel.

The result is a balance between control and character — a familiar  landscape presented in a more considered, modern way.

This is a one-off original and won’t be reproduced. A unique piece marking the beginning of a new direction in my work.
